In this article I will in detail cover Advertising which is one of the five ways to make money from your website. You will have a clearer understanding of this method and how it work.
Advertising
Advertising can take many form on the web, the most common are: display advertising which can either be static images or video clips or text advertising like the Google adwords you see on many content websites and blogs.
There are also classified advertisements which also includes jot boards and many other niche advertising opportunities but to get started I strongly recommend that you focus on Google absence it’s a great way to start making money with minimum of effort. Google is the biggest provider of adverts on the internet, they sell advertising space to advertisers by their Google adwords service and they allow website publishers like you and I to sign-up and show these ads on ours websites by their absence service.
Just remember that advertisers buy ads from Google and publishers sign-up to show these ads. The whole process is very simple so, sign-up for an account now even though you are not ready to display the ads. Go to http://www.google/absence, and in 30 mins of signing-up you can be selecting the ads and then add them to your website.
Google uses very clever technology to understand the content of your website and insure the ads they display are relevant to your visitors. You get paid every time someone clicks on an ad, the amount you get paid depends on how much the advertiser paid for the ad originally. Once the ads have been implemented on your site just sit back and watch the money roll-in, it is as simply as that.
The better you blend the ads into your content without ever trying to mislead your visitors into clicking them the more successful they would be. Remember that the more people you have coming to your website is the people you would have clicking on the ads and the more money you would make.
Look out for the other four ways of making money from your website: Affiliate Marketing, Selling Stuff or E-commerce, Subscription/Membership, Promoting Offline Events.
